Many visitors think of Sardinia as a July and August destination. But locals know better: each season here offers its own adventures, from kitesurfing in the spring breeze to hiking under autumn colours and winter thermal baths, with sailing all year round. 🌸 Spring (March – May): The Active Season Begins

Spring is when North Sardinia wakes up — mild temperatures, wildflowers covering the hills, and almost no crowds. It’s the best season for land activities and sailing:

• Hiking in the Monte Ossoni — panoramic trails above Valledoria with views over the Gulf of Asinara and, on clear days, Corsica
• Sailing from Castelsardo Harbour — The best opportunity to Sail and learn with English speaking activities with Playa Sardinia Sailing
• Kitesurfing and wing-foiling at the Foce del Coghinas — the river mouth near Valledoria is one of the best kitesurf spots in Sardinia, with consistent spring winds
• Cycling along the coast — quiet roads link Valledoria to Badesi, Isola Rossa and Castelsardo, with sea views almost the whole way
• Birdwatching at the river lagoon — spring migration brings herons, flamingos and marsh harriers to the Coghinas delta
